The Woodland Triangle Neighborhood Association is actively opposing a proposed development by Titan Investments that threatens the 200 block of Woodland Avenue.
Residents and local businesses are deeply concerned that the planned 7-8 story, monolithic structure will overwhelm the character of the surrounding Aylesford Historic District. The proposal, which aims to provide high-density student housing, includes 55 units designed to hold four people each at a rate of $1,200 per door.
Beyond the destruction of historic buildings and mature trees, the project faces intense community pushback for its massive scale, inadequate parking, lack of architectural sensitivity, and a development scope that prioritizes student-only units over the needs of long-term local residents.
Regarding parking, the developer’s plan includes 53 onsite spaces—43 for residents on the 2nd floor and 10 for retail on the 1st floor—supplemented by four offsite options: the Helix, Transit Center, and Courthouse at $70/month, and Calvary Baptist at $75/month.
